Description

A pair of sterling silver threader earrings with a small oxidised feather at the front. Each feather has real detail to it – the central quill and the fine barbs are picked out, and the oxidised (darkened) finish settles into the grooves so the texture stands out, giving it a slightly antiqued, worn-in look rather than a bright polish. A fine cable-style chain runs up from it, with a slim silver bar at the other end.
To wear them, you thread the bar through your piercing and let the chain slide until the feather sits where you want it. The chain then falls behind, so you get the feather at the front and a soft drop at the back. At almost 8cm in total, they have a lovely bit of movement and catch the light as you go.
The feather gives these an easy boho feel, which makes them a nice pick for festivals, weddings and parties as much as for everyday. Because they’re long and delicate, they show off best with your hair up or tucked back, but they look just as good peeking out with your hair down.
The chain is a fine cable style, which keeps the earrings light and comfortable through the day. Being solid 925 sterling silver, they keep their shine with little effort, and a quick pass with a silver polishing cloth restores the bright parts of the finish if they ever soften – just go easy over the oxidised detail so it keeps its depth.
