The measurements below describe the decorative front of each stud, rather than the post or back. Shapes such as crescents and mushrooms have different widths and heights, so check both measurements.

Choosing studs for a second lobe piercing

The 3mm silver stars and 3.2mm CZ stars are among our smallest studs. Check that both the fronts and the backs have space to sit comfortably beside your other earring.

For a simple combination, try round CZ studs in the first piercing and plain silver circles in the second. For a matching theme, wear a tiny moon beside a silver star. There are more combinations in our ear-stacking guide.

Plain silver or cubic zirconia?

The circles, plain stars and moons give you a silver shape without a stone. For clear CZ, choose a round or square stone, a heart, or a tiny star-shaped setting. The baguette studs have a narrow rectangular stone, measuring just 2.4 x 4mm.
