If you’re a cat person, these are hard to resist. Each earring has a small, sleek cat silhouette hanging at the end of a fine box chain – a smooth, solid little figure of a cat sitting upright, stylised down to a simple, elegant shape rather than a fussy, detailed one. The polished finish gives them a bright shine that shows off the cat’s curves as they move.
The cats are around 5mm wide, so they’re dainty rather than showy – the sort of quiet detail someone notices when they’re close, then realises it’s a cat and smiles. That makes them a lovely little gift for a cat lover, or a treat for yourself if you’re the kind who already has cat things dotted around the house.
Wearing them is simple: feed the thin bar at the top of the chain through your piercing, then draw it down until the cat hangs where you’d like it, with the rest of the chain trailing softly behind. At around 10cm long there’s a fair bit of chain, so you can wear them at full length or, if you’ve a second piercing, thread the chain through both for a linked look.
The box chain – made of tiny square links – is very fine, so despite the length the earrings feel light and are easy to forget you’ve got on. They’re 925 sterling silver throughout and sold as a pair.
